Wildberries denies reports about massive fines for returned orders

MOSCOW, May 24 (PRIME) -- Russian online retailer Wildberries has denied reports about fines for buyers, the marketplace said on Tuesday in a statement.

“We apply the payment of the return delivery service only to the clients with a high share of returns and/or small amount of the purchase – the assertion that it is a ‘massive fine’ is not true. The tariff covers only about 10% of the clients,” Wildberries said.

The company also said that the information that Wildberries charges the payment for returned faulty items is also incorrect.

According to earlier reports, the number of Wildberries’ clients who actively complain on a 100 ruble fine imposed by the company on every item in the order that is returned is increasing.
